About HNSA

Head & Neck Surgical Associates (HNSA) is the Northwest’s most highly specialized medical and surgical practice dedicated to patients with head and neck, oral, maxillofacial, and facial cosmetic needs.

The practice is comprised of physicians and surgeons who are both board-certified dentists and physicians. The residencies and fellowships completed by the surgeons in our practice include Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat), Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Craniofacial Trauma, Cosmetic Surgery, and Head and Neck Surgical Oncology.

Head & Neck Surgical Associate’s physicians and surgeons have been trained in the world’s most advanced and specialized institutions. Our surgeons’ full-time private practices are complemented by clinical research, speaking engagements at national and international conferences, head and neck trauma services at Legacy Emanuel Hospital, and academic appointments at Oregon Health & Science University.

We are committed to the finest and most thorough diagnoses, surgical procedures and patient management and care. Our services extend beyond a patient’s surgical needs to patient functionality, as well as restorative and esthetic excellence. Our Mission Statement

Patient Care

To provide the highest level of surgical care to our patients by careful evaluation and accurate diagnosis, and to communicate information to our patients to enable them to make informed choices.  At surgery, we will employ skillful surgical techniques and aftercare in all the areas of our surgical spectrum.

Research

To advance the science of medicine and dentistry by research and surgical innovation and to share these concepts via reporting in international medical and dental literature.

Teaching

To extend the science as well as the art of surgery into the next generation of surgeons by teaching surgical techniques to our assistant surgeons who will become the surgical leaders of the future.

Community Service

To provide a resource for specialized surgical care within the context of a private practice, to the community of Portland, Oregon, the Pacific Northwest and for those patients who seek our care from other distant areas.

Staff Environment

To provide a positive and stimulating environment for our staff to enable them to actively participate in providing quality care for our patients while developing their technical skills and expanding their knowledge base in the medical and dental fields.
