Research Activity

The physicians at HNSA are committed to providing patients with the most comprehensive and contemporary treatment within the field of head and neck and craniomaxillofacial surgery. This endeavor fuels a need for continued advancement of the discipline. As such, clinical research is conducted in a peer-reviewed fashion in an effort to develop new techniques and technologies and to validate current treatment modalities.

Our goal is to develop a world-class head and neck and cranio-maxillofacial surgery clinical research program. This includes the design of clinical research projects, hypothesis development, biostatistics, epidemiology, disease mechanisms, medical technology, human genetics, and the legal, ethical, and regulatory issues related to cranio-maxillofacial and oral surgery. The emphasis is on patient-oriented research, epidemiologic studies, and outcomes assessment.
